The YWCA’s mission of empowering women and girls and eliminating racism is all about leadership. Here at the YWCA Beaumont we start developing leaders early. Young women also learn what it means to be a good citizen, including how to make decisions and share.
Throughout nearly 100 years the YWCA Beaumont has been in the forefront, taking leadership on changing issues facing women and their families. The YWCA Beaumont can and will position itself to increase its leadership and be an even stronger leader in our community for the next 100 years through our investment in young women.
Life & Career Skills: Success skills targeted to foster a Quality Education, Choices, Health, Financial Security, and Knowledge by teaching and learning what it takes to be College Bound, possess Social Graces & Etiquette , have Economic Literacy, strive for Fitness, Nutrition &Health, attain Physical Awareness to avoid Bullying, experience Leadership, practice Mindfulness, develop Resilience, and consider the Reality of Work.
The Pillars of Character also be learned and taught through experiences in courage, kindness, forgiveness, honesty, caring, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness, and respect.
