What We Do
As a part of YWCA USA our local YWCA can add its voice with the others across the nation to speak in a LOUD voice, strong alone but fearless together.
If you are motivated by courageous women of the past, or you are inspired by today’s leaders, we can partner with you to change our world, working to eliminate racism and empower women.
Our Story, Our Commitment
The YWCA Beaumont is proud to have served the community for 100 years .Throughout the years we have changed and evolved, resulting in a very lean operation which relies greatly on the volunteer expertise of the Board of Directors. Our mantra has always been “Together Everyone Accomplishes More”. We are here to empower girls and women. But we also understand the importance of building coalitions by supporting our sister volunteering organizations and the impact we can make within the community as a united force.
In an attempt to introduce interesting cultural figures to our community we have hosted an annual Gala Fundraiser, highlighting female leaders such as Former First Daughter, Jenna Bush Hager, Journalist, Susan Taylor and Political Activist, Donna Brazile, to name a few. Our goal is to bring in unique voices and stories from diverse female perspectives, along with a five star evening, which honors local community leaders. This signature event spreads good will and assists in program funding.
Consistently, we are keenly aware that Education is the key to success. Thus our Scholarship Programs are our annual commitment to assist young leaders in furthering their educational endeavors!
